Everything you've been wondering about who we are, how MakShare works, and how to get involved.
We're a Ugandan EdTech company born out of the lived experiences of students facing challenges in academic institutions. We design solutions to remove barriers to learning. Our work aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption).
Our flagship product, MakShare, provides affordable access to physical study materials through a sustainable borrowing model. We also offer stationery services including printing, photocopying, binding, typing, internet access, and stationery sales.
Students pay a small borrowing fee per module, use the materials for the semester, and return them for reuse by future students.
You can contact us through our company contacts, available 24/7. Visit our Contact Us page for phone number, email, and physical address.
We welcome any kind of support — monetary, in-kind, or moral. Our work involves producing study materials, running a stationery centre, and designing solutions for learners. Even a single ream of paper can help us produce modules for students through MakShare. Visit our Support Us page or contact us directly.
You can support us in many ways. We currently need equipment like printers and other essential items to help us produce study materials and run our operations. If you have resources — financial, material, or skills — we'd love to hear from you.
